Home is a 2009 documentary by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film is almost entirely composed of aerial shots of various places on Earth. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how humanity is threatening the ecological balance of the planet.
The documentary chronicles the present day state of the Earth, its climate and how we as the dominant species have long-term repercussions on its future. A theme expressed throughout the documentary is that of linkage—how all organisms and the Earth are linked in a “delicate but crucial” natural balance with each other, and how no organism can be self-sufficient.

What can we expect from your first season? I think people will definitely find it entertaining and inspiring. You’ll see me grow as a designer throughout the episodes. We do commercial spaces, a bar, a retail clothing space, a hotel room, and all these random people’s houses. It’s definitely a fun show. The whole thing that I’m trying to get across is just to inspire people to do something a little bit different. Use different materials, think outside the box. Paint things different colors. Personalize it and customize it. I’m not trying to be Mr. Interior Designer 2010. I just want to inspire people and have fun. And entertain!

UK tabloid The Daily Mail is reporting that Brad Pitt has purchased a $1.1 million home in Hollywood hills. The house has a modest 2 bedrooms and 2 baths but features an extravagant bar and cave built into its foundation. Damn I gotta get a new spot!

This project calls “Mercado Negro”, by Los Angeles-based artist Ramon Coronado.
“I took it upon myself to take a shopping cart and make a statement with it. I reclaimed LA’s iconic shopping cart and created furniture for kids to enjoy in these urban Los Angeles areas. The project is a criticism of the scarcity of recreational functions for kids growing up in a dense city like Los Angeles.”

The wholesome Scandinavian image of furniture and lifestyle giant Ikea has been rudely shaken by a new book which claims the company is hostile to foreign employees and uses Stasi-style secret police methods to spy on its thousands of staff worldwide.
