that shit makes me sick. have you seen the “magic date ball”? it’s the girls’ version of the magic 8 ball, pink and glittery and of course since girls never wonder about anything else, all of the sample questions printed on the box are in regards to “will he call me?” “does he like me?”. Uh uh motherfuckers, not my daughter. my girl doesn’t realize she’s a girl yet, doesn’t realize she’s a minority yet but it’s up to ME to make sure that when she does realize she doesn’t use american media and advertising to figure out what that means. the other day after the rain, she was picking up slugs and sticking them to her face and i was thinking how sad it is that someday someone will tell her that girls don’t do things like that. but, i’ll be damned if it’s going to be advertisements for bullshit that will teach her what a girl cares about. she don’t need her ouija board pink because she’s a girl, she definitely doesn’t need to worry her mind with whether some dude’s gonna call her. okay, sorry for ranting. you’re so lucky to know that with a mama like leslie your girls’ gonna learn early how to be a lady but still kick some ass.
